In underserved communities across the Southwest Region of Cameroon, young people face a severe double burden: widespread youth unemployment and a widening digital divide. For most vulnerable young girls, high-end laptops and expensive tech hardware remain completely out of reach.
At Action Tech—the specialized technology division of United Action for Children (UAC)—we are rewriting this narrative. We harness the power of artificial intelligence and ordinary mobile phones to create immediate pathways to economic self-reliance.
Proven Impact: From Pilot to Practice

Just two months ago, we launched a pilot training program equipping 17 local youths with mobile AI graphic design and digital branding skills.
The Result? Today, those 17 graduates are actively running independent mobile branding services using solely their smartphones. They have transitioned from digital consumers to self-employed micro-entrepreneurs.
Our Immediate Need: 3 Months of Internet Connectivity
Building on our pilot success, we are launching an intensive, Free 3-Month Training Program dedicated to vulnerable young girls and out-of-school young women in Buea.
To make this upcoming session a success, our physical lab needs reliable infrastructure. We are currently seeking funding to secure 3 months of dedicated high-speed internet connectivity for our AI Lab.
Reliable bandwidth is the vital heartbeat of the lab—it guarantees uninterrupted access to cloud-based AI design models, live interactive masterclasses, and real-time online freelance mentorship sessions.
